Request City Council to Set a Public Hearing for November 12, 2024, to Consider and Adopt: 1) Environmental Assessment Review No. 2024-0022 and Zoning Code Amendment No. 2024-0002 - an Ordinance amending Chapter 11.22.090 of Chapter 11.22 "Wireless Telecommunications Facilities in the Public Right-of-Way" and adding Section 18.111.100 to Chapter 18.111 "Wireless Telecommunications Facilities" of the Rialto Municipal Code; and, 2) A Resolution to approve "Guidelines for Batch Broadband Permit Processing".

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council Set a Public Hearing for September 10, 2024, to Consider and Adopt Environmental Assessment Review No. 2024-0022; Zoning Code Amendment No. 2024-0002, an Ordinance amending Chapters 11.22 and 18.111 of the Rialto Municipal Code regulating wireless telecommunications facilities located on private and public property; and a Resolution to adopt the Guidelines for Batch Broadband Permit Processing.
BACKGROUND:
On June 5th, 2024, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing, considered the Ordinance and Resolution, and recommended that the City Council approve the Ordinance for Zoning Code Amendment No. 2024-0002 and the Resolution for the Guidelines for Batch and Broadband Permit Processing.
This item will also be presented to the Economic Development Committee on August 28, 2024.
ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION:
A comprehensive staff report will follow once the hearing has been set.
