Request to Cancel November 27, 2025, and December 24, 2025, Subcommittee Meetings. (ACTION)

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff requests that the Subcommittee approve the cancellation of the regularly scheduled meetings on November 27, 2025, and December 24, 2025, due to scheduling conflicts with the Thanksgiving holiday and City Hall’s annual holiday closure week, respectively.
ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION:
The Subcommittee is scheduled to meet on the fourth Thursday of each month. The upcoming November 27 meeting falls on Thanksgiving Day, a nationally observed holiday during which City offices are closed. Similarly, the December 24 meeting falls within the City’s annual holiday closure period, during which City Hall is closed.
Canceling these two meetings is consistent with past practices when meetings coincide with major holidays or scheduled City closures. This ensures staff availability, respects holiday observances, and acknowledges the limited public and subcommittee member availability during these periods.
Should any urgent matters arise that require the Water Subcommittee's attention before the next regularly scheduled meeting, staff will coordinate to schedule a special meeting if necessary.
