Request Mayor and City Council to cancel the regular meeting dates of August 27, November 26 and December 24.

 

Body

BACKGROUND:

Historically, the Mayor City Council would cancel the 2nd meeting in August for summer recess.

 

ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION:

Mayor and City Council to consider canceling the regular meeting dates as requested above due to the following reasons:

 

                     The meeting of August 27 for summer recess/vacation.

                     The meeting of November 26 is in the same week of Thanksgiving Holidays.

                     The meeting of December 24 is already considered a City Holiday.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:

This action is not a project as defined by Section 15378 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

 

A “Project” means the whole of an action, which has a potential for resulting in either a direct physical change in the environment, or a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.

 

A Project does not include: Continuing administrative or maintenance activities, such as purchases for supplies, personnel-related actions, general policy and procedure making

 

GENERAL PLAN CONSISTENCY:

This action is consistent with Guiding Principle 3A in the General Plan:

 

Our City government will lead by example, and will operate in an open, transparent, and responsive manner that meets the needs of the citizens and is a good place to do business.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

None associated with the recommended action.

Mayor and the City Council to cancel the regular meeting dates of August 27, November 26 and December 24.
