Request City Council to: (1) Adopt Resolution No. 8560 Establishing the New Classification Specification for Pool Manager, Van Driver, Geographic Information System (GIS) Technician, Custodian, and Logistics Specialist; Approving Grade Reclassifications for the Deputy Director of Finance and the Deputy Director of Maintenance and Facilities, and Adding two Fire Inspector Positions; Updating the Full-time Positions Plan to Reflect These Changes as Approved During the Adoption of the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Citywide Budget; and (2) Approve the Updated Citywide Classification and Compensation Plan for Full-time and Part-time employees, and the Allocated Positions Plan Including the Added Classifications.

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council:
1) Adopt a Resolution establishing the new classification specifications of Pool Manager, Van Driver, Geographic Information System (GIS) Technician, Custodian, and Logistics Specialist and approving a Grade Reclassification for the Deputy Director of Finance and the Deputy Director of Maintenance and Facilities and adding two Fire Inspector positions; and,
2) Approve the updated Citywide Classification and Compensation Plan for full-time and part-time employees, and the Allocated Positions Plan.
BACKGROUND
On June 23, 2026, as part of the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Budget, the City Council approved the establishment of new positions to support the City's operational needs and organizational priorities. In addition, the City Council approved grade reclassifications for the Deputy Director of Finance and the Deputy Director of Maintenance and Facilities to better align their classifications with the scope, complexity, and level of responsibilities currently assigned to these positions.
