RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council:
1. Adopt a Resolution establishing the new Classifications of Human Resources/Risk Manager and Deputy Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services; and,
2. Approve a Budget Resolution for Full-Time Employees (FTEs) in the Rialto Police Department, Rialto Fire Department, Public Works Department, Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, and the Human Resources/Risk-Management Department.
BACKGROUND
As part of the mid-year budget process, the City Council approved the new classifications of Human Resources/Risk Manager and Deputy Director of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services. The proposed and recommended Resolution establishes these classifications at the range of 5900A and 6000A, respectively, with the classification specifications attached to this report. The proposed and recommended Budget Resolution establishes the full-time equivalents (FTEs) for personnel within the City.
Provisions in the Personnel Rules and Regulations Rule III, Section 2, provide that before the classification plan or any part of the plan becomes effective, it shall be first approved in whole or in part by the City Council through adoption of a Resolution.
