Body
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council appoint members to the Planning Commission, Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission, Rialto Utilities Commission and the Neighborhood Beautification and Historical Preservation Commission.

BACKGROUND
In February of 2025, the Rialto City Council adopted Ordinance No 1699 that consolidated and reorganized the City's commissions from (9) to (4). The four remaining commissions are to the Planning Commission, Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission, Rialto Utilities Commission and the Neighborhood Beautification and Historical Preservation Commission. Each commission includes seven members that can be appointed by the City Council.

Following the consolidation of the commissions, the City accepted commission application through March 25th 2025.

For those commissions where more applications were received than available positions, the sub-committee consisting of the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem conducted interviews with individual candidates. The full details of those applicants that were interviewed for Planning Commission are outlined below.

This item for the appointment of individuals to commissions came to the City Council on August 12, 2025. At that time, the Council directed staff to bring the item back at the subsequent meeting. All applications for commissions were shared with the full City Council in April of 2025 and on August 13, 2025.

ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION
The following resident applications were received for each commission during the application period in March 2025 as listed below:
