Title
Request City Council to Issue a Purchase Order, in the amount of $40,978.98 to CONFIRE J.P.A. (Joint Powers Authority) for Mobile Data Computers Tablets and Accessories.

Body
BACKGROUND:
The Rialto Fire Department uses Mobile Data Computers (MDCs) as essential components of emergency response apparatus. MDCs provide incident information, routing, and allow for real-time communication of sensitive information between dispatchers and emergency response crews.
All of the Fire Department's 21 front line MDCs are at or past their end-of-life based on serviceability and age. This action represents the final year of a three-year replacement plan for Fire Department MDCs.

The MDC replacements used by the Rialto Fire Department are part of a standardized regional technology platform that affords interoperability in communications for all adjoining fire agencies to Rialto. This action will replace all (21) of the Fire Department MDCs. CONFIRE will coordinate activation and installation services and will provide subsequent maintenance and support.
