BACKGROUND
On December 8, 2020, the City Council approved an agreement with NCNW Bethune Center in the amount of $57,162 to provide workforce development/job training services paid for by funding from the CARES Act. However, the agreement that was put before the City Council had the incorrect not-to-exceed dollar amount, along with incorrect contact information that is unrelated to NCNW Bethune Center due to a breakdown in staff processes related to contract review. Staff requests that the City Council affirm the approval of the agreement for the correct amount of $57,162.

ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION
NCNW Bethune Center submitted one of two proposals received by the City in response to the RFP. NCNW has more than 34 years in the field of employment development; specifically targeting the community of Rialto, CA. Their experience has been to provide employment training, employee development, and job referrals for members of the community with a focus on serving High School Seniors and those persons of any age who have been seeking full and part-time employment. NCNW has continuously provided a comprehensive young adult training and development program to foster academic enrichment and employment achievement for persons living in the Inland Empire. Their clients are made up of low to moderate income persons and families who are seeking employment assistance and educational goals.
