Body
BACKGROUND
The Police Department currently uses Ricky Tankersley, an Information Technology (IT) professional, to assist with the Police Department's CAD/MOBILE/RMS upgrade. Ricky Tankersley has been assisting the organization since March of 2015, after the loss of our Systems Analyst, and has been an important part of bringing our organization's IT systems up to Department of Justice (DOJ) requirements and standards.

ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION
For fiscal year 2020/2021, the Rialto Police Department issued a Purchase Order (PO) in the amount of $15,000 to Ricky Tankersley, Information Specialist. Ricky Tankersley has been essential in assisting the department through our CAD/Mobile/RMS upgrade, implementation of automated license plate readers, developing and upgrading our department's network system and security protocols and bringing the department to DOJ standards. Ricky has worked extensively with County Communications on our radio project, the County on the Smart Justice Network. Ricky Tankersley's services are imperative to the continued success of Police Department's IT systems.

Staff is recommending that City Council approve an increase to PO 2021-0185 in an additional amount of $3,000 to cover support costs for FY2020/21.
