Title
Request City Council to Approve an Increase to the Annual Purchase Order (PO) No. 2021-0245 for an Additional Amount of $10,000 for Ride on Powersports, Inc. for Fiscal Year 2020/21 for Police Motorcycle Services Through June 2021 for a Total Purchase Order (PO) Amount of $25,000.

Body
BACKGROUND
The Police Department currently uses Ride on Powersports, Inc. for police motorcycle repair and maintenance services.

ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION
The Rialto Police Department issued a PO for FY2020/2021, in the amount of $15,000 to Ride on Powersports, Inc. It is anticipated the department will exceed the initial PO amount due to an increase in repair and maintenance costs. The increase is primarily related to the repair and maintenance costs associated with aging police motorcycles in order to keep them operating at a safe level. Therefore, the department is requesting an increase to the original PO in the amount of $10,000 for purchases throughout the remainder of this fiscal year.
Staff is recommending that City Council approve an increase to PO No. 2021-0245 for an additional amount of $10,000 to cover the increased expenses for Fiscal Year 2020/21.
