Request City Council to Cancel the Regular City Council Meeting Dates of August 24, November 23 and December 28, 2021.

BACKGROUND
Historically, the City Council would cancel its second meeting in August for summer recess, and the meetings during the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday weeks.
ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION
City Council to consider canceling the following regular meeting dates:
• The meeting of August 24 for summer recess.
• The meeting of November 23 for the Thanksgiving Holiday week.
• The meeting of December 28 for the Christmas Holiday week.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
The proposed action does not meet the definition of a project as defined by Section 15378 California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). A “Project” means the whole of an action, which has a potential for resulting in either a direct physical change in the environment, or a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment, and excludes organizational or administrative activities of governments that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment.
GENERAL PLAN CONSISTENCY
The request is consistent with Guiding Principle 3A of the Rialto General Plan: our city government will lead by example, and will operate in an open, transparent, and responsive manner that will meet the needs of the citizens and is a good place to do business.

This action does not impact the budget.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council cancel the regularly scheduled City Council Meetings of August 24, November 23 and December 28, 2021.
