Request City Council to Approve the Issuance of a Purchase Order to Drop Deck Depot of Atlanta, GA in the amount of $20,915 for an Enclosed Hydraulic Drop Deck Trailer.

BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Streets, Parks, and Facilities Divisions perform various concrete work throughout the City. This work includes concrete grinding, saw cuts, removals, and installations. To accomplish this, staff loads a multitude of power, motorized, and hand tools into the beds of pickup trucks. The job sites are sometimes in locations where the tools would be unsecure, which can lead to theft.
In an ongoing effort to increase work productivity, staff is attempting to consolidate all the concrete tools into one secure trailer. This would allow crews to have all tools on site for any concrete work that is needed. It also allows all the tools to be stored and secured in one location.
ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION:
The City of Rialto's Procurement department advertised Request for Bid (RFB) No. 18-117 for an HGL 10614E Enclosed Hydraulic Drop Deck Trailer on May 30, 2018 and the bid closed on June 14, 2018. The City was willing to accept bids for alternate type products with equivalent features and capabilities. Specifications are as follows (See ATTACHMENT #1):
