BACKGROUND
In June 2017, the City of Rialto was chosen by the Board of State and Community Corrections, California (BSCC) to receive funding in the amount of $996,975 over a three (3) year period. The Prop 47 Grant project provides for the Rialto Juvenile T.E.A.M. (Training, Education, Alcohol/Drug, Mental Health Treatment) project, intended to service youth between the ages of 14 and 17 who are on probation or who have been arrested charged with, or convicted of a misdemeanor criminal offense and have a history of mental health issues and/or a substance use disorder.

On June 11, 2019, the City Council adopted the one-year extension of the Board of State and Community Corrections, California Proposition 47 Program Grant Award through September 30, 2021 and authorized the issuance of annual purchase orders, in the amounts that are in excess of $15,000 for CBO's for services associated with the Prop 47 Program Grant with an additional one year extension, without exceeding grant annual budget as stated in grant agreement; authorize the Mayor to execute each annual Prop 47 Program Grant agreement and any amendments she may deem advisable and authorize the City Administrator to be responsible for the administration of the grant.
